SOCIAL NOISE
What real users are saying about hosting companies across X, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok and other public channels. Unfiltered. Unsponsored. Updated daily.
Every mention is auto-classified by sentiment and linked to the host's profile in our directory. No cherry-picking, we surface the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Hey everyone, I’ve been building sites for clients for a while, and I’ve reached a breaking point with the "Standard WP" workflow. Every time I build a site with a dozen plugins (Elementor, ACF, Slider Revolution, Security plugins, etc.), I feel like I’m handing over a ticking time bomb. One update…
We use WP Engine for all client sites. One dashboard, great staging, less fires. Worth the premium.
SiteGround + Cloudflare = fast and reliable. Migrated 20 sites there this year. Zero regrets.
I've had a dedicated server with Liquidweb for over 15 years, I tend to upgrade every 4-6 years depending on need or new features. As many have said their support has gone way downhill. In my eyes it's been bad for years and has been about the same for a while now. Only recently have I just turned t…
Pressable doesn't get enough love. WordPress.com infra, white-label friendly. Our agency standard now.
HostGator: great price until you need help. Then you get a script and a ticket that never gets answered. YMMV.
Cloudways for the win. DigitalOcean under the hood, managed layer on top. Scaling is a click.
Finally migrated to @wpengine and our TTFB dropped by 60%. Support actually knows WordPress. Worth every penny for managed WP.
Some of these "managed WordPress" hosts are just cPanel with a plugin. Read the fine print.
DreamHost has been solid for 4 years. No upsells, no surprise renewals. DreamPress is underrated for Woo.
Hey everyone, I'm looking for recommendations on hosting providers that work well for small agencies managing multiple WordPress sites. **Ideally I'd like:** • Managed WordPress hosting including updates, security, and backups • Good performance and uptime for small to medium business sites • …

Hello devs, I purchased a domain through Namecheap where I set up the DNS Records to point towards Google, as I use Google Workspace for emails. I had to change the DNS Server to another provider because I have my website hosting server on there. It changed every DNS record and defaulted to its ow…

ChemiCloud: decent performance, but their upsell emails are relentless. Turn off marketing or you'll drown.
Liquid Web support is next level. Real humans, real solutions. Not the usual "clear your cache" runaround.
Hello! Several years ago I started a website on [Wordpress.org](http://Wordpress.org) using bluehost. Eventually I added a second website. I haven’t used either in a few years, and noticed awhile back they no longer show up when you go to the domain. However, because one of them was an old business…
Nexcess for Woo and Magento is legit. Auto-scaling, good support. Better than our previous "managed" host.
GoDaddy shared hosting down again. Third time this month. Moving to Cloudways as soon as we can.
as the tittle suggests looking for web hosting sites for managed WordPress hosting. The servers should be in India or Singapore preferably and the website will have around 10-15k visits a month. My budget would be 35-40$ anually. I'm new to all this so I'm sorry if I made any mistakes and thanks in …
Namecheap hosting is fine for a brochure site. Don't put anything mission-critical on it. You get what you pay for.
If you're on shared hosting and your site is slow, try WP Engine or Kinsta. Night and day difference.
As the title says I am new to hosting in 2026. Although I have been working in software development for a few years I do not have any experience with this area. I want to get into freelance web/software development for my community. I want to set up a website/ domain and email I can put on…

Kinsta saved our client launch. Staging, CDN, and their support fixed a caching mess in under an hour. 🙌
Vultr + RunCloud or Cloudways. Skip traditional shared hosting if you care about performance.
Hello! After 10+ years with Bluehost, I've finally hit my limit. Performance has been fine, but issues have been steadily increasing, and customer support has become genuinely unhelpful. It's time to move on. **A bit of context:** * I'm based in Australia, though the majority of my readers are i…

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
