CHECKER
Enter a domain to pull its live DNS records in one place: the A and AAAA addresses it resolves to, mail (MX), text (TXT), nameserver (NS), alias (CNAME) and zone (SOA) records. Every result also tells you which provider runs the nameservers.
What is a DNS Checker?
A DNS checker is a free tool that looks up a domain’s live DNS records: the A and AAAA addresses it resolves to, plus its MX (mail), TXT, NS (nameserver), CNAME and SOA records. It shows the current published configuration that maps a domain to its servers and mail, and reveals which provider runs the nameservers.
How does a DNS Checker work?
- 01We query authoritative DNS for the domain you enter.
- 02Records are grouped by type so you can scan them fast.
- 03We read the NS records to identify the DNS host behind the domain.
Frequently asked questions
What DNS records does this check?
It resolves A (IPv4), AAAA (IPv6), MX (mail), TXT (verification and SPF/DKIM), NS (nameservers), CNAME (aliases) and SOA (zone authority) records for the domain you enter. Empty record types simply mean the domain does not publish that type.
Why do my DNS changes not show up yet?
DNS records are cached by resolvers for the length of their TTL, so a change can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to be visible everywhere. This tool reads current published records, which is the fastest way to confirm a change has gone live at the source.
Can I see who hosts the domain?
The NS records reveal the DNS provider, and our Hosting Checker resolves the domain to its actual hosting provider and, where we have it, links straight to that host on HostList with its independent HRI score.
