Web design that earns its keep.
We are HostList, the independent web hosting directory that tracks 28,000+ providers across 60+ countries. The same team also builds, migrates, and maintains WordPress sites under the Seahawk Media brand. Twelve years in production. Five thousand sites shipped. One opinion: a site you cannot move and cannot maintain is a liability, not an asset. These four services exist to fix that.
Three things, done properly.
Anything to WordPress. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, Drupal, Joomla, static HTML. Content, redirects, schema, and SEO equity all carried across.
Move my siteUpdates, backups, security monitoring, performance tuning, and human support. Run by people who know what breaks because they have broken it before.
See plansCustom WordPress builds, plugin work, WooCommerce, membership platforms, and headless integrations. Quoted fixed, shipped on a calendar.
Scope a buildWe build sites the way infrastructure people build sites.
Most web agencies do not care which hosting plan you end up on. We do, because we audit hosting plans for a living. Every project we ship lands on a plan that matches its traffic, uses the right cache layer, and renews at a price you can predict.
Twelve years of running WordPress at scale, not three years of running Figma. We have repaired the kinds of incidents you have not had yet.
We rank 28,000+ hosts. When we recommend a plan inside a project, the recommendation is on-record and based on the same algorithm published on hostlist.io.
Every site we ship is portable. WordPress core, standard plugins, plain custom code where possible. You can fire us at any time and the site moves cleanly.
No discovery phases that turn into invoices. The first call ends with a scope and a fixed number. Most builds ship inside a calendar quarter.
Core Web Vitals targets are part of the scope, not a paid add-on. Sites we ship pass LCP, INP, and CLS thresholds on launch or we keep working until they do.
Support is people you can talk to, not a ticket system that closes itself. The team that built your site is the team that picks up when something breaks.
Common questions, answered briefly.
Who is behind these services?
Seahawk Media, an agency with 12+ years in WordPress and 5,000+ sites shipped, in partnership with the HostList team. The same operators who write the HostScore methodology and rank 28,000+ hosting companies for accuracy. No subcontractors hidden behind a brand layer.
How is this different from a typical web design agency?
We are operators first. Every project includes hosting selection guidance because we know the actual data on 28,000+ hosts. Every site we build is configured for Core Web Vitals, ships with the right cache layer for its traffic shape, and lands with a renewal-proof setup so you do not get trapped in a 200 percent year-two pricing trap.
Do you take affiliate commissions from hosts you recommend?
No. HostList accepts zero affiliate revenue on hosting recommendations, and Seahawk inherits the same policy on any host recommended inside a project. When we tell you which host to use, the data drove the decision, not a commission rate.
How fast can you start?
Most migration projects start within five business days of the quote being accepted. Maintenance plans onboard inside 48 hours, sooner if a site is in incident. Custom development depends on scope and existing backlog, usually one to three weeks to start, one to twelve weeks to ship depending on the build.
What does a project actually cost?
Migrations from $1,500 for a simple WordPress to WordPress move, $3,500 to $9,000 for a re-platform from Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or Shopify into WordPress with redirects and SEO equity preserved. Maintenance starts at $79 per month per site. Custom development is quoted fixed, with most projects landing $5,000 to $40,000 depending on scope.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Seahawk has powered the back office for 1,000+ agencies under white-label. If you are an agency reading this, the same migration, maintenance, and development work is available white-labelled on your domain at your pricing.
Tell us what you want to build.
Send a short brief. We reply with a scope and a fixed quote inside two business days. No discovery calls until there is something concrete to talk about.
