Been on a bit of a deep dive trying to get my sites Core Web Vitals in order and I keep going in circles on caching plugins. Dreamhost is a decent web hosting provider but in total I think it's pretty average. Imo, Cloudways is definitely better and why I consider it the best.
I've had a few people say that DreamHost is just fine, and unlimited, and there's no point paying extra for dedicated e-mail because they never had a problem
On the plus side, their speeds are good. Zero downtime so far, even during a maintenance window. Their own admin panel is actually improving (
I've just noticed and seen good things about DreamHost's Shared Unlimited hosting. Has anyone got any experience with DreamHost hosting?
The bad: The servers are noticeably slower than any other hosting service we work with. When we switch from DH to one of our other hosts we see

# Be careful of Hostwinds. I've been using Hostwinds for a few years for my VPS hosting (basic) needs. They have good prices and geared towards IT pros and advertised a 99.9999% up time; that's 32 seconds a year. So I host a few critical websites for some small business clients over a couple of linu
# I’ve spent $170k with Liquid Web...they’re not the same company anymore! I’ve been with Liquid Web for 17 years and I loved them. I was told I had to move servers because the old hardware was “outdated.” I did not really want to move but I did. The migration was the worst I’ve ever experienced in
Over 15 years ago, we started offering hosting services to our clients because I was tired of seeing beautifully developed sites struggle on clients' budget hosting accounts. When I revisited this a few months ago and considered getting a new server for a clean cPanel migration, Liquid Web's pricing
I've been with Liquid Web for over 10 years, but their support really gone downhill and I'm looking to switch. Looking for recommendations

We have been loyal Liquid Web customers for over 10 years... Liquid Web has become a total NIGHTMARE!!! # My Personal Experience with DigitalOcean After 6 Years of Use. I’m a developer who works extensively with cloud services. Over the years, I’ve used AWS, Linode, and DigitalOcean. In the past, my entire system ran on DigitalOcean, mainly because at that time, their pricing was the most competitive

I've been using Digital Ocean for about the last nine months or so and I've been perfectly happy with them. Consistent service and a low price.
Short answer: Don't even try it, is not good and their business strategy is unacceptable. There are many other clouds that offers more features and better
"Great cloud hosting for everyone" ... We have had a great experience with Digitalocean ever since we started using it. It is extremely easy to use and very fast.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
