# Is this flywheel plan right for my needs? Hello, I recently took over the management of our company website from an overseas team, and I am looking at our subscription costs, I see that we're paying flywheel $115/month for website hosting on a Freelance plan. Before I fully took over, the overseas
Flywheel does hosting, website building, and local website development on your hard drive very well. Their website is intuitive and easy to use.
I've been using Flywheel for half a year and it's been fantastic. Their support is great if that's important to you. A tad pricey, but worth it to me.
For me it's all about convenience. Flywheel is a “nice to have” hosting solution that my clients don't mind paying for, and it simplifies my
Flywheel is a decent platform. Personally, I like their sister company WP Engine better. It's a WordPress website so there are no extra costs for adding users.
I had major issues with downtime when I was on a shared web host. They told me, "sorry man, it's just the nature of shared web hosting brah

I have multiple sites on Hostgator, and all of them have been down for most of the day. Support told me they'd be up in half an hour, they were, then…

# Ionos by 1&1. I don't know how you guys feel about Ionos. The fact is, I don't think I've ever been with a "good" webhost, but Ionos is by far the worst. Ionos, godaddy, and any EIG brand is NOT recommended by the industry, due to the their rampant overselling of servers causing problems like you are facing.

It's also not hard to export the Zone file and re-upload it. However the answer is no, no direct way as transferring a domain between registrars
The only time-based restrictions related to domains are transfer restrictions, ie you can't transfer between registrars multiple times within a certain time
I'd recommend against this if you are using Cloudflare for DNS or Proxying. If they decide to close your account then you'll lose access to your domains too
Depends on the system. They are contractually required to let you move your domain to a new domain registrar though - it's an ICANN requirement
Moving domains to Cloudflare isn't a mistake, but transfers should only be charged once per successful move. Multiple charges usually mean

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
