PASSWORD
GENERATOR
Generate a strong, random password with the length and character mix you choose. Everything happens in your browser using the operating system’s cryptographic random source, so the password is never sent over the network, logged, or stored anywhere.

See security solutionsWhat is a Password Generator?
A password generator is a free tool that creates strong, random passwords with the length and character mix you choose. It uses the browser’s cryptographic random source, so the password is generated locally and never sent over the network, logged, or stored anywhere.
How does a Password Generator work?
- 01Choose the length and which character sets to include.
- 02The password is generated locally with crypto-grade randomness.
- 03Copy it, or regenerate until you have one you like. Nothing leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Is this password generator safe to use?
Yes. The password is created entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API, the same cryptographic random source browsers use for security keys. It is never transmitted to a server, never logged, and never stored. Close the tab and it is gone. For real accounts, still save it in a password manager rather than reusing it.
What makes a password strong?
Length matters most: every extra character multiplies the number of guesses an attacker needs. A random 16-character password mixing upper and lower case, numbers and symbols is far stronger than a short complex one or a long dictionary phrase. Aim for at least 16 characters, and never reuse a password across sites.
Should I use a password manager?
Yes. Generating strong passwords only helps if you do not reuse them, and no one can remember dozens of random strings. A password manager stores them encrypted and fills them in for you, so every account can have a unique, long, random password without the memory burden.
