Meanwhile Chemicloud's reseller Grow plan is a bit looser with the limits, for us$40/m which is similar. They do have more data centres around the world, including an Australian location which is a bonus for us. But less focus on green power which Krystal is big on.

I'm not a server admin so I need managed hosting. I've looked at a lot of plans and narrowed my search (so far) to Cl*udways, KnownHost, Chemicloud, and Scala. (although Chemicloud's uber-low price gives me pause.) I've scoured this sub and other forums reading reviews. So I'm just looking to hear f
Chemicloud is Truly Awful I made the mistake of migrating to Chemicloud. I moved a small site with not much traffic first. Thank god I did. About 90% of the links were broken. Two techs gave two entirely different answers as to why and how to fix it (I'd already fixed it, they didn't listen to that)

The no warning / no explanation part is the worst. stuff like this is why i’ve started leaning more toward things i actually control, self-hosting when possible, or at least keeping setups easy to move around. ge
| | | | | --- | | | lep\_qq 7 months ago | prev | next (javascript:void(0)) This resonates. We run a similar setup (managed K8s + managed DBs) and hit a comparable issue last year with a cloud provider's CNI update that broke pod-to-service networking for 6 hours. The irony is that "managed" service
less rewarding than experienced by major or niche cloud providers. | | | | | | mrkurt on Aug 19, 2021 | parent | next (javascript:void(0)) Sadly, every hosting platform attracts fraud. It's a very difficult problem to prevent and the payoff when people break through fraud prevention is quite high. |
February 15, 2022 - They end up paying the up-charged cost for a Siteground domain when Porkbun is a much better domain registrar. In the past, Namecheap used to be the way to go but after reading through some Porkbun reviews, I’ve since learned that Namecheap will hike up the price of a.com renewal

January 5, 2024 - I'm liking the performance and the support's been decent whenever I've needed it. If you can stretch the budget a bit, I'd say SiteGround's a pretty solid choice but after changing to I'm not looking back.
September 19, 2024 - For people that value dependability and excellent customer service generally, Siteground seems to be a suitable hoster. For some, the price may be a drawback; nonetheless, given its performance and support, it remains a good choice in 2024.

January 23, 2023 - Because of their "container" approach their size, CPU, and bandwidth limits are hard-limited without an easy path to more resources, which can be a pain when a client's site grows beyond those limits. But then I compare SiteGround hosting to premium sedans like Lexus or Infinity:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
