You can get a full site backup from them and be able to transfer it to the new host. If your host offers free migration services let them handle it.
Moved to WP Engine and things were very good for a while. a ton of 502 errors, the back-end is incredibly slow, the wp-content/uploads folder
The (non-technical) client would like us to migrate their site from our hosting to WPEngine, using the WPEngine Site Migration plugin.
Flywheel - support is excellent - fast but also knowledgable. I host 300 sites with them.

Overall: I feel confident about managing my own site (and my clients' sites) on Flywheel. Customer service has m back, 100%. I feel like they invest in helping me because they know I'll stay a customer--and I will.

AWS has everything you could ever need, but that means you have a ton of trade offs to consider whenever you want to start something new. For AWS I’m juggling in my head: - Load Balancers - API Gateway - CloudFront - S3 for static files - Route 53 - Lambda config (or use Serverless to manage this or

If we switched to WPMU we will have an annual profit of $2049. With it only being a $100 difference, most of that comes form the revenue to cost estimate.
The dashboard is nice, the ram is a bit low (but the price point is killer), I wasn't able to deploy a lets encrypt cert without pooled memory.
They have a good WordPress staging tool and it's very easy to create new instances. We've been using it for almost a year now with no issues.

Vultr has a better control panel and a snapshots feature, which is very important, but it costs more than OVH. OVH is better for VPS/Dedicated servers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
