My experience with Linode at withfriends.co today. They performed an emergency maintenance action without notification to us. They did not backup our server

My overall experience with Linode has been great. Moving from shared web hosting to a VPS had a learning curve, but the guides provided by Linode along with
My experience with Linode at withfriends.co today, so I would recomment not using them. They performed an emergency maintenance action without notification to
Switched my Linode's over to Digital Ocean... and no issues so far, and we're getting better performance overall at about the same pricing
Akamai is acquiring hosting platform Linode for $900 million. I switched to Linode because those went downhill :(
I use Vultr personally, switched to it from Linode years ago now due to constant network/downtime issues. Have had almost zero problems or
I switched from Linode to Ionos for a Bare Metal Server as I needed more memory and it was cheaper to go Bare metal than upgrade my cloud server
Well, We switched from linode to Vultr because we needed all VPS to talk to each other. Linode VPSes can talk to each other in the same data center via

Hostwinds blows! I would not recommend this company. Hostwinds fault. Millions of domains are registered through hosts and the vast majority
They suffered a massive network outage/intermittent problems between July 29 and Aug 2. Effectively dropping their uptime to 99.99%.
I've boiled my web hosting options down to 2, HostGator vs. Hostwinds. Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback on the 2?
I like Hostwinds' offerings but in my experience their support takes at least 24 hours to respond to tickets (even updates).
From what I've seen, people generally say Verpex is decent for starting out. Support is quick and uptime is fine, but as with any reseller host,
Verpex is one of the names that keep surfacing when searching for reseller hosting. The prices are reasonable and the specs look good, They clearly have
It looks like you can contact them through which is linked in their customer portal.
Fair warning: Siteground Support has gone downhill in the last year, now has discontinued their live support (temporarily), and they are lying

June 27, 2017 - Yeah reputation is hard to calculate. I have the same "being available all the time" reputation I try to uphold and it's insane. Might be wrecking me. Major outages for siteground seems abnormal enough and it sounds like that was a 50 minute downtime (mental math).
hey guys. So I've recently switched to inter server vps and have had a good experience so far. What are your guys's experiences, did I make the right choice?
Recently, I've been meaning to switch from my current provider, Interserver, for personal political reasons. I tried AWS Lightsail, but quite
It may not be perfect for very large projects, but for personal blogs and small business websites, it seems like a decent option. If anyone is
Overall, I would recommend Bluehost services to anyone looking for web hosting service. They are easy to contact and quick to provide advice.
My Opinion Bluehost and or Sitelock are allowing hacking purposely having lax security or they themself are hacking sites. They are making a lot
Hostinger is THE WORST hosting platform. MY. GOD. There is no live support. Their stupid, obviously poorly programmed AI chatbot keeps
You can't transfer it. Your options are to renew or rebuild your site completely on a new plan. I'd also advise taking this time to find a host
It's also fairly easy to move a site/domain from one account to another via backup/restore. Hostinger has a help document and a video on that.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Social Noise?
Social Noise is our real-time feed of what people are publicly saying about web hosting companies across X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms. We surface genuine user opinions, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so you can see unfiltered feedback before choosing a host.
How do you collect these mentions?
We use automated search tools to monitor social media platforms for posts mentioning hosting companies in our directory. Each mention is classified by sentiment (good, bad, or mixed) and linked back to the original post and the host's profile on Hostlist.
How is sentiment determined?
Each mention is read for its overall meaning, not just for negative or positive keywords, and classified as Good (a positive experience or recommendation, even one that mentions a past problem but concludes satisfied), Bad (a genuine complaint or negative experience), or Mixed/Ugly (a nuanced take with real pros and cons). Posts from a host's own account, and promotional or affiliate copy, are excluded entirely rather than scored.
How often is Social Noise updated?
Social Noise is refreshed daily. We scan for new mentions across all monitored platforms every 24 hours and add them to the feed. The page itself revalidates every 2 minutes to show the latest data.
Can I filter by platform or sentiment?
Yes. Use the filter pills at the top to narrow by platform (X, Instagram, TikTok, Other) or sentiment (Good, Bad, Mixed). Filters can be combined to see, for example, only negative mentions on X.
