THE HIGHEST-RATED WEB HOSTS
A perfect rating from ten reviews is not the same as a strong rating from ten thousand. This report ranks hosts by a volume-weighted customer rating that blends each host's average with how many people left it, so the leaders are both highly rated and widely reviewed. Raw average and review count are shown alongside.
Every host in the top ten holds at least 906 public reviews, led by o2switch at a weighted 4.88 out of 5 from 6,666 reviews. Weighting by volume is deliberate: it stops a lightly-reviewed newcomer with a perfect score from outranking a host thousands of customers have consistently rated highly.
Hosts are ranked by a Bayesian weighted rating: the average customer rating pulled toward the global mean in proportion to review volume, so a few five-star reviews cannot outrank thousands of consistent ones. Only hosts with at least 100 public reviews and a credible HRI are included. No paid placements. Read the full formula on the HRI methodology page, see the live rankings, browse the directory, or read more data reports.
By a volume-weighted rating, o2switch leads, holding a 4.9 average across 6,666 public reviews.
Because a 5.0 from 40 reviews is far weaker evidence than a 4.8 from 8,000. Ranking by raw average rewards tiny, lightly-reviewed listings. A volume-weighted rating pulls low-review scores toward the average, so the leaders are genuinely and widely liked.
Reviews capture satisfaction, not measured uptime or speed. A host can be loved and still have gaps. Read the HRI column, or the most-reliable report, for the performance and track-record side of quality.
