Sponsorship on HostList is display advertising, nothing more. It never affects the HostList Ranking Index, rank position, reviews, or battle-test results, at any tier, at any price. Every sponsored unit is labelled Sponsored and its outbound link carries rel=sponsored. Rankings are algorithmic and are not for sale. If a company pays us and you cannot tell, we have failed, so we mark every placement plainly and list every active sponsor below.

What sponsorship is and is not
The line between advertising and editorial is fixed and printed wherever sponsors appear. One side is inventory a company can buy. The other side is not for sale at any price.
- Labelled banner units on category and best-hub pages, kept outside the rankings table.
- Sponsored Top Picks cards and a hero banner on deals pages, each marked Sponsored.
- An offers panel inside claimed-host dashboards, seen by verified operators.
- Inclusion in the newsletter and in-depth articles, always disclosed as sponsored.
- Off-site work where a tier includes it: battle-test videos, founder LinkedIn mentions, and short-form reels.
- A higher HostList Ranking Index. HRI is computed from verified facts, and no component moves for money.
- A rank position on any leaderboard, category, or comparison page.
- A review, a rating, or the wording of one.
- A battle-test outcome. Sponsors never see results before publication.
- A place in the ranked tables. Ads never render on the rankings pages.
