The ledger is a dated public record of changes to the HostList directory. Each row is one event a reader can quote: which host, what changed, where, and when.

What counts: a listing claimed or a claim revoked, a new host listed or a listing deactivated, a fact verified against evidence, a profile change a host made in its dashboard, an HRI move of three points or more inside the top 300, a review approved, a data refresh from an external source, an index recompute, and a methodology change. What is excluded: ads, page views, and anything a host could inflate by re-saving its dashboard, which is recorded once per host per day at most. The ledger refreshes every hour. Nothing on it is paid for and nothing on it can be bought.
